The Classics Series
Back to the Roots
The Classics Series comprises historically proven loudspeaker concepts,
reinterpreted and manufactured by
LMH in Germany.
Classic geometries.
Modern manufacturing quality.
Timeless function.
Some concepts endure because their foundations are sound.
We approach these classics with respect and develop them further using modern manufacturing and careful system tuning — with nothing left to chance.
No replicas.
No compromises.
A proven idea, refined with consistency — and clearly audible.
Concept
The designs of the Classics Series follow the original acoustic principles
of the respective loudspeaker types.
Geometry, volume, and sound guidance are respected,
while being carefully adapted to current manufacturing standards,
material quality, and modern driver technologies.
The goal is not modernization at any cost,
but a precise and functional realization
of proven concepts.
The Classics Series defines a framework
for established loudspeaker designs in contemporary execution.
If a historical concept is not represented,
a project-specific realization can be evaluated.
Construction
Systems of the Classics Series are based on clearly defined,
historically established enclosure and sound-guidance principles.
Tuning and system design are carried out methodically
and are driver-dependent.
Mechanical stability and controlled resonance behavior
are realized by design.
- classic enclosure and horn concepts
- material-appropriate wall thicknesses and bracing
- controlled sound guidance
- clean, reproducible driver integration
- passive or active system configurations
Materials & Manufacturing
All Classics systems are manufactured entirely
in our own workshop in Germany.
Depending on the specific system, the following materials are used:
-
beech or birch plywood
-
selected solid woods
-
Panzerholz (project-dependent)
-
massive metal components
Manufacturing is guided by functional requirements,
long-term stability, and reproducible quality.
Listening
Listening appointments are available by arrangement —
either at the manufactory or on a project-specific basis.
Orientation
Even within the Classics Series,
many systems are developed on a project basis.
Driver selection, execution, and surface finishes
are defined in close coordination.
Project Support
A Classics system is created through dialogue.
Room, application, and listening habits
form the foundation of the system design.
